ISRSA Areas of Concern in the Area of School Funding
The Indiana Small and Rural Schools Association School Funding Committee met in November and December, 2016 to discuss school funding in Indiana, wishing to highlight some of the areas of greatest concerns and what might be alternatives to help fund and solve these concerns.
Our organization represents nearly 90,000 students who are educated in our small and rural communities across Indiana and who are served by over 5,600 teachers and 450 administrators.
It is suggested that LSA could help provide some estimates of costs for some of these recommendations for additional resources in order to help better understand how the new resources might help.
The topics in this report are not considered the only topics of concern, but those of highest priority at the time of preparation for this report.
